In fact, it breaks it so unexpectedly, so thoroughly, and with such seeming irrevocability that I was-and remain-unconvinced It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia can go on into its already announced 14th season as the same show it’s been. Mac comes out to his father in a dance. A five-minute, exquisitely choreographed piece of interpretive storytelling through movement as impressive as any I’ve ever seen. Sure, I’m hardly an expert on the subject, but I’ll stand by that.
Oh no And I'm giving it my all But I'm not the guy you're taking home, ooh And I keep dancing on my own. So far away, but still so near The lights come on, the music dies But you don't see me standing here. I’m such a sucker for falling in love with a straight guy. And I imagine a lot with the gay community, you fall in love with the same sex, and there’s no way of telling it. The heart wants what it wants, and you know if you’re not careful, you can find yourself in a situation where you give your heart away and it can get broken. I think it went a little bit unnoticed from a broad sense, but the LGBT community really took that and was like Oh my God, this relates to me so much.
You can go your own way! Combine the two, and it's singing-songwriting genius. Who said Lindsey Buckingham never wrote her a love song. It might be delived in a bitting and angry tone but under all of that, is a man scorned by the woman he so clearly loves.
It has a beautiful golden sound: it’s gonna make you feel really peaceful. I first heard it in the summer, when I was 17 or 18, and I’d never heard music like it before – it was just so pretty. When the sun’s out, problems don’t seem as bad. You wake up and you feel I can tackle this. It’s got an underpinning of woozy, drony electric guitars, and I love the way her voice sounds so clear in the middle of all that psychedelia. Then it drifts into something almost ambient towards the end, so it carries on for two or three minutes of pure bliss-out, chordal stuff. It’s a beautiful thing to have on when you’re walking somewhere with natural beauty. Ari Lennox: Night Drive, 2016.
