This set was recorded live at the Montreux Jazz Festival in 1974. By this time, Randy Weston had already spent six years living in North Africa, and his explorations were fruitfully influencing his music. The accompanying quartet features drummer Don Moye, of the Art Ensemble of Chicago, accompanied by percussionist Steve Berrios, with bass player William Allen a formidable anchor.
