The TurboCat is a non-electric, air-driven turbine vacuum head for all central vacuums. Great for hard floors or light carpet cleaning applications. Very happy with the Turbocat we recently purchased! Gerald, Chalmette La Mar 15 2017 2:12PM. New Vacuum head works great. Their customer service was A-plus in helping us locate the part replacement part we needed. My central vacuum is aging but with the new vacuum power head it's working great.
The TurboCat requires NO separate power cords, batteries, or additional electricity. This unit worked fine for a while but it seems to allow a lot of hair to accumulate around the ends of the roller brush ans at the belt bearing. If you use it regularly, you will have to take out the 3 screws on the bottom, remove the brush and pull off the ends where the bearings are at to get to the hair, there is no other way to get it out, You will also need to pull out the bearing under the belt where it turns to get out the. hair. This is a poor design - the original Vacuflo head did not need so much attention and lasted over 10 years with regular use and minimal cleaning.
