Maybe Dolls were an Australian pop music band consisting of siblings Annalisse Morrow (bass guitar, lead vocals) and Chris Morrow (lead guitar, lead vocals). The pair were former members of a power pop group, the Numbers. They had issued a single, "A Five Letter Word", in mid-1980, which reached No. 40 on the Kent Music Report Singles Chart. The Morrows formed Maybe Dolls in 1991 in Sydney as a pop music trio with Paul Wheeler on drums (ex-Icehouse).

Maybe Dolls were an Australian pop/rock band that released one album, "Propaganda," in 1991. The band's core was brother and sister duo Chris and Annalisse Morrow, who had previously performed as The Numbers in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Matt, due it's British accent has, described by him, an 'speech impediment' where when he puts a P and R together makes the phonetic sound of a 'PW', Matt wanted to make a song in where he the 'exploited this to the maximum', thus, creating the a' loop.
