Redirected from John Boswell (musician)). The Symphony of Science is a music project created by Washington-based electronic musician John D. Boswell. The project seeks to "spread scientific knowledge and philosophy through musical remixes. Boswell uses pitch-corrected audio and video samples from television programs featuring popular scientists and educators. The audio and video clips are mixed into digital mashups and scored with Boswell's original compositions

His work spans from television and music production to viral remixes and mashups, and has drawn over 100 million views online. Most recently, Melodysheep created the 8 part series ORIGINS for National Geographic, and has done extensive work with Disney, PBS, and many other collaborators. Using raw rover imagery and the sound.

John Boswell is the creator of the musical web series, the Symphony of Science, which turns spoken word from influential scientists into singing via auto-tuning software, and combines it with original instrumentals and imagery to make evocative science-themed music videos. The series centers around Carl Sagan and explores themes such as cosmology, space travel, natural selection, reason and skepticism, and more.

I'm obsessed with this CD in every way. Its educational, and most importantly, it inspires me to learn and share with others. The last track, number 15 is a perfect ending for the CD. The woman's voice tells us "We are in the middle of this cosmic dance of creation and destruction. All of us, all the time." This is music created to unify all of humanity on a level that is much deeper than a flag, or imaginary lines drawn on a map. John Boswell's music creates more questions than it answers. I love to ride in my car on a sunny day and take it all in. This music will take everything that is trivial in your life and stuff it into a small little box to be tucked away where it can never be heard from again. I have so much to say about this disc, and this review is just a draft. I will add to it as needed. So many good things to say. Too many good things! The trajectory of my life changed the first day I heard this. Who knows where I will end up now :)
