This is the only Control Denied ’s album released. To publish it, Schuldiner made a pact with the label: 1 album on Death for 1 album of Control Denied. Chuck who had melted the death and after recording the Sound of Perseverance, recorded in a short time the album with the same lineup of the last Death’s album, except the bassist of Giorgio, (which was already in the first lineup of Control Denied). there are no live version cause the Bad health conditions of Chuck. The Fragile Art of Existence Q&A.

CONTROL DENIED-FRAGILE ART OF EXISTENCE Reissue VINYL 2LP NEW Death Relapse. The music on the album is US power metal played with great technical skill. Itīs not far from sounding like the last couple of Death albums but with a clean vocalist instead of a high pitched growling ditto. There are some other differences too though. The tracks are generally quality compositions but there are few highlights on the 8 track, 50:49 minute long album. Itīs like the vocal melodies simply arenīt that memorable. The strong chorus in "Expect the Unexpected" is an exception.

Overshadowing Chuck's most recent successes including the career-defining album, Sound of Perseverance, which appears as an eerie specter that copiously reminds us of how our subconscious strangely discerns more than one can even imagine about oneself. This crisis so lessens the impact of a monumental release like Control Denied that it nearly renders it insignificant in light of life's true reality.

Great album, only rating 4 stars due to the slipcase which is the exact same as the jewel case inserts without embossing or anything else special to make it worthwhile.A must own album for any fan of Schuldiner's later work.
