Do the Bartman is a single from The Simpsons Sing the Blues, which features Bart Simpson singing Do the Bartman. Not to be confused with the superhero of the same name. The song was written by Bryan Loren.

The Simpsons Sing the Blues is the first album released as an offshoot of The Simpsons. The album contains originally recorded music not featured in the series save for the first verse of the track "Moaning Lisa Blues" which was first featured in the episode "Moaning Lisa", which aired in the United States on February 11, 1990. The album was released on December 4, 1990, and peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard 200.

However, the album The Simpsons Sing the Blues was a much bigger hit, reaching on the Billboard Hot 100. That makes their debut album also the highest-charting Simpsons album (as I write this, I realize I’m referring to cartoon characters, which feels a bit strange). Do the Bartman was an even bigger hit in ye olde England where it reached I guess those Brits love their Bart Simpson humor. Regardless, it’s another novelty one-hit wonder and we love novelty hits. Although this novelty-rap track was written by Bryan Loren, a singer-songwriter known for his work with Whitney Houston and Barry White, there is speculation that the song was really penned by Simpson's fan Michael Jackson. Loren set the record straight to Music Business Worldwide in 2015: "I am the sole writer of the song. While it's true, along with me, Michael Jackson does sing backing vocals. Though "Bartman" was never officially released as a single in the United States, it received a great deal of airplay. It did top the charts in Australia, Ireland, New Zealand, Norway, and the United Kingdom. More songs from The Simpsons. More songs sung by cartoons or puppets. More songs with animated videos. More songs from 1991. Lyrics to Do The Bartman.

Wonderfull song written by Michael Jackson, kinda sounds like "Supafly Sister from Blood On the Dance Floor - HIStory in the Mix". If you're familiar with the never releades 2 Disc set of Dangerous (M. Jackson) you'll hear the similaryties of the songs such as "Work that Body" and "She Got It".

Michael Jackson, did not, in fact write "Do the Bartman". But instead of another very good singer, Bryan Loren, wrote and sang Bartman and with Michael Jackson as back-up vocals. Here is a good link about this whole music dilemma:http://consequenceofsound.net/2015/07/michael-jackson-did-not-actually-write-do-the-bartman/
