Chicago (sometimes referred to as Chicago II) is the second studio album by Chicago-based American rock band Chicago. Like their debut album, Chicago Transit Authority, this was a double album. It was their first album under the name Chicago (the band's prior name, Chicago Transit Authority, was changed due to a threatened lawsuit from the Chicago Transit Authority) and the first to use the now ubiquitous cursive Chicago logo on the cover

Cajual collectors know that the Chicago Connection "Dancin" is a valuable piece, why is somewhat a mystery. It's not that old, there are way older Cajual records. The Chicago Connection never released anything else. There's no warehouse fire or other story that makes this pressing exceedingly rare (please correct me if there was some incident that makes it rare vinyl). Cajmere didn't press a ton of em but if I had to speculate, I'd just say it's a flat out banging record. Mark Grant's remix is absolute genius. It's a tracky, subtle, filtered disco funk loop that worms its way into your brain. The production quality is exceedingly high, especially the EQ mix and the analog sounds on the low end. If you have the choice between buying this record or paying your heating bill you might just want to put another sweater on and bundle up.

This record always had a high price because it's flat out bangin. On dancefloors around the world, this has proven to be a fire starter for nearly 20 years.

bitonti Totally agree with you sir. Jacking filtered disco at its finest here - love those vocal samples. Bought my copy in the summer so no worries on the heating bill!
