The Gift (INXS song). from the album Full Moon, Dirty Hearts. The Gift" is the first single from the 1993 album Full Moon, Dirty Hearts, by Australian rock band INXS. The song was written by Jon Farriss and Michael Hutchence. The lyric appears to touch on the subject of war and AIDS, with the author questioning the promises made while looking at an "empty sky". The song ends with the strained and repeated verse: "I was thinking, got the feeling, The gift you gave is gonna last forever. All the lies you find, all the truth you see, Rise and fall, but I know what's mine".

Full Moon Dirty Hearts has been added to your Cart. With great songs and the Sex-God swagger of vocalist Michael Hutchence, INXS have rightly earned their 'legendary' status in the Rock history books. Full Moon Dirty Hearts features guest appearances from Ray Charles and Chrissie Hynde. When Inxs came to record this album the band was in the doldrums commercially - their previous fans wanted another Kick album, while the new crowd of rock fans were digging the grunge scene, which excluded Inxs from the pack.

X is Australian rock band INXS's seventh studio album, released in 1990. The follow-up to the massive seller Kick, X scored hits with "Suicide Blonde" and "Disappear" (both Top 10 in the US). Two other singles from X were "Bitter Tears" and "By My Side" but they had less chart success. A fifth single, "The Stairs" was only issued in the Netherlands to coincide with the release of the Live Baby Live album. It was the third consecutive INXS album produced by Chris Thomas.
